Crafting memorable, immersive, and engaging experiences that empower players and fill them with a sense of greatness is what I strive to accomplish.

I love to play games, and love watching others gain strength and emotions as they play my experiences even more.

As a Game Designer, I have experience with multiple areas of game development:

  • Rapid Prototyping (both franchised and new IP)

  • Level Design (paper design, implementation, iteration)

  • Immersive Gameplay Design and implementation

  • Holistic Systems Design and iteration

  • Technical Design (scripting, game-wide optimization and support)

Currently the Lead Level and Gameplay Designer at EverCurious Entertainment, on two new ARPG IP’s.

Before that, I gained invaluable experience and knowledge in my time as the Technical Designer at Piranha Games, Lead Level Designer at Skybox Labs, Level Designer at The Coalition Microsoft, and Systems Designer as Relic Entertainment. All of which were positions on combat focused, power-fantasy, franchised AAA titles.

  • Systems Designer - Age of Empires 4 - Relic Entertainment

  • Level Designer (Campaign) - Gears 5 - The Coalition Microsoft

  • Lead Level / World Encounters Designer (Campaign) - Halo: Infinite - Skybox Labs with 343 Industries

  • Technical Designer - MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries (and Multiple DLC) - Piranha Games

  • Lead Level and Gameplay Designer - x2 Unannounced ARPG - EverCurious Entertainment

From the experiences I’d gained and carried with me from my past life in the military, the sturdiest of pillars I stand beside is to lead by example. Whether working as a part of a team, onboarding new developers, or inspired new upcoming industry talent, we are all continuously learning and evolving toward shared goals, together. Regardless of role or level of seniority - each and every person I work with, brings unique perspectives, knowledge, and experiences which can and should be shared for the betterment of any team. Positivity, doing the work, and growing together makes the task worthwhile.

Outside of my ever day career, I work with aspiring Design students from the Vancouver Film School (VFS) Game Design program, as an Industry Design Mentor. Working alongside them on their team final-projects in a mentorship capacity through Game Production, Strength of a team, Level Design, Gameplay Design, Professional Development, and the importance of a healthy work/life balance they’ll undoubtedly face throughout their careers.

About Me

Born originally in San Francisco, California. Having moved to Canada at a young age, I later joined the Canadian Forces when I was 19. Amongst the many valuable experiences I gained, the biggest of them was the discovery of my passion for planning and design.

Working with teams varied in size and ability, my greatest talent is the capability of adapting to various situations and finding the least complex solution to overcome them.

After my time as an officer in the military, I quickly realized my passions had evolved more toward creativity and the ability to motivate people through my designs more than anything. With a final word of encouragement from a loved one, I discovered that Game Development was exactly the career path I wanted to take.

Bursting into my true path with a passion for games, I’ve continued to learn and evolve. Through all of my heart and soul I take in every single experience as fuel for my burning creativity.
